timing issue

I just got my redtop fired up and it seems to run fine. What i dont understand is when i hook up my timing light it flashes all over the place. a lot of times it will hit the 15btdc mark but then it will jump up and down a couple marks at random. this is all happening at idle.

check your mechanical timing again. I had that same problem as i was off just one tooth.
