I was just about to try and set my timing BUT there isnt the cover on the lower portion of the belt that would have the timing mark. Is there any other reference point? Im thinking I will have to track down the lower cover but I would guess thats going to be pretty tough.

Let me know if you have any tips

If you take the crank pulley off, there is an alignment mark for the lower timing belt gear on the oil pump.

Yes, I understand how to time a motor but its not there

Anyone have any idea where I can find that? I see this being a pretty big problem. I have the CAS right now turned almost as far as you can counter clockwise to make the car run good. the more I turn it back the other way, it has a nasty hesitation around 5500 to 6300 or so. Then rips for the last few 500 rpm. I gapped the plug, replaced them, have the fuel pressure set and just cant do the timing now. I just want to make sure it within spec.

you might be able to use consult. It's a good thing to have anyway. Get a consult cable and nissan datascan. That should work.
