Welcome to NICO.
You just rebuilt the motor, so you are absolutely positiove that the timing belt, cams, crank and distributor are all properly in sync? Forst thing I'd do it pull the timing covers and verify physical timing. That being said, I seem to recall that to set the timign on the z31 with the stock ecu you must turn the screw on the ecu all the way to one side (I might be worng on this but the fsm details what to do to set the ignition timing and most cars require somethign be done to lock the timing before you can set it).
Does the car idle well? and at correct rpm? trying to set the timing at high rpm will cause the timing to jump around.
