Im timing my 98 altima, cut the guide broke and destroyed some stuff, when lookin at the diagram that came with it it shows the 2 cam gears marks, it shows the right as after the spot where the gear locks on and on the left it doesnt show where the gear locks in so am i to assume its before? and ive seen on diagrams on like showin both after the gear lock spot, and some as the same as the diagram i have, can anyone point me in the right direction? would it break anything if i tested it one way then the other?
