I installed a timing chain kit on a 95 nissan pickup 2.3 4cyl 5spd. I got the truck running and it runs like its at 85%power.It drive fine. Just doesnt have alot of power.I hooked up a timing gun and the only way to get the timing mark to line up is to turn the dist. all most all the way to the left.

I read some other post here and im thinking the oil pump is off a little?Guess i get to take it off tomorrow and try again. Damit!

Also my Haynes manual says i cannot adjust the timing because 1990-96 pickups have ECU and they control the timing.

So what do i need to unplug to set the timing correct. I did unplug the plug on the distributor. But i read else where to unplug a brown plug by the throttle body.???

Distributor is off a tooth. There is a recent similar thread. Search it, many answers inside.
