So I got my timing all worked out thanks to a few people. So onto my new problem, I started my car up idles great. I let it warm up then tried giving it a lil rev. Its all most like from idle to 3k its bogging and sounds like its missing especially if I hold it in that area. Now if I give it a little more gas it revs easily and smooth. Sounds really good. I have a z32 maf, 740cc injectors, s15 turbo and jwt ecu tune. What can cause it to bog down and miss between idle and 3k but still allow it to rev smoothly if giving a little more gas?

Take a multmeter and meacure the voltage output as you slowly go from idle to full throttle. It should be a nice smooth increase, but sometimes a particular spot wears out.

Well I checked the TPS. Im getting .47 when closed and 4.16 at wot. That ok?

Also Im getting 12 volts to my maf. Right now Im trying to find someone in my area that is running on so I can test it.

But any other ideas?

Those numbers are fine, but what I was talking about was watching as you go from high to low to see if there is a jump anywhere in the middle.

Just checked it and it goes up smoothly. No jumping around at all. Im still trying to find someone around me that is running the same maf but Im having no luck with that.

Anything else I should check?

One of my friends suggested it might be the tune, which I would be really pissed if it was. You guys think that a Jim wolf tune would cause this?

Is your timing set correctly? I know the cam was off a tooth, but what about the CAS? (or distributor, not sure what sr's use for spark timing) My KA did that same thing before I got it timed with a timing gun, at light throttle it would hesitate a little bit. Driving was fine, it was only when there was no load.

Also check for vac leaks.

Perhaps the Z32 Maf is faulty. Is it used or new? try cleaning it up a bit.I went thru 2 Mafs just to get my SR run/idle right. My .02.
