Hey everyone. I have a question about timing cover removal (KA24DE). I know there are plenty of threads about this but I couldn't find what I was looking for.

So I forgot to put RTV all the way around the oil outlet going into the block from the timing cover. My question: Could I remove the timing cover and wiggle enough space to reapply RTV or would the oil pick up hit the pan before giving me enough space? I would hate to re-drop the sub-frame and do it all again for such a stupid mistake on my part. Has anyone pulled this off?
