ok here's the deal. im trying to decide which way to go:i just had to take the head off my sohc ka and see if the gasket was blown. turned out that the chain wore a hole in an inlet of the cooling system in the chain cover. i am in the process to see if the hole can be welded together. the thing is should i spend the money to fix this crap sohc motor with a speed sensor code and egr code coming up on cel with 170,xxx mi.? or should i spend the time and swap a 92 dohc with 190,xxx with new timing chain and all highway miles? keep in mind im 16, goin to school and working so i dont have much time and knowledge

I say stay with the sohc and fix the hole.or replace the timing cover, less down time.
