DO i have to take the oil pan off to get the lower timing cover off ? also do i have to take the oil pump off can some one just tell me what i gotta get off thx

what motor are you working on? if its the kae then no you dont have to take off the whole pan just like 3-4 10mm bolts holding the lower timing cover to the pan. if its the kade then i dont know sorry.

Pretty sure yes. I remeber having to remove the oil sump as well. IDK, I'll pull my project engien apart tomorrow to let you know for sure if nobody else replies by then.

You don't have to take the oil pan off if you can get the oil pickup tube off...be warned it's not the easiest.

Be as careful as you can not to drop the oil pickup bolts in the oil pan.....if you do you'll be fishing with a magnet or droppin the crossmember to get the oil pan off. I've done it twice without removing the oil pan it's just the most time consuming part of the project. Good luck..

Try putting something under the bolt so it doesn't drop.

hey man thx for the tips got the cover off with no problems now all i have to do is put the timing together and and were ready for turbo i'll keep you guys posted
