im about to go about replaceing my timing chain guides in my 91 and was wondering if the cover gasket is reuseable or metal cuz i wanted to tear it down and look o see if it had the new guides in it or not but dont wanna do it if i cant put it back together

It's made out of liqud gasket... at a minmum you'll nead to reseal it. Put a light coat of RTV on the head gaskets that stick out of the front as well.
