Timing Chain Tensioner bolts

1993 240sx 5spd

After reinstalling a new tensioner, the two bolts won't tighten. MAybe oil got in there, cause i primed the new tensioner in oil before installing. I can still remove the bolts, but they also turn without much effort from my ratchet. However i cant turn it buy hand though. I'm thinking maybe i should put a little thread locker on the threads before i put the cover back on.
