I have noise like a rattle/scuff and I'm sure its from the timing chain and think the hydraulic tensioner is either worn or needs replaced. Can anyone tell me where I can find a write up of changing the tensioner and or chain at the same time.

This for my 1994 240sx Convert.Cheers guys.

Thanx for the reply, is that the bolts on the tensioner that you loosened.? I have a nissan repair book and it says the cylinder head has to come off but that I can not see, as that is a huge job to do. I was hoping I did get a reply like yours saying something a lot easier to fix the tensioner and change the chain. I like to hear experience over what I read before tackling a job like this.

I would think Nissan want a pile of $$$ as it does not look an easy job. If anyone else reads this, please reply if you had any work like this done.Cheers from Canada.
