timing chain

I had just put a new timing chain in my ka24e and less than 200 miles later the engine blew. Could I transfer the chain from the blown engine (assuming the chain didnt get damaged) to my second block?

I don't see why you wouldn't be able to. You should be able to use anything off the old block that isn't broken.
