timing chain?

i have a little sound coming from the engine under light to medium throttle. its kind of a little clickity sound. i'm hoping this is not the dragging chain sound that people associate with the timing chain being about to bust. HELP!

i've seen ur writeup before. but that doesn't answer my question. do u think thats what the sound is? anyways i have a sohc, ur write up wouldn't help me in chainging it.

pushing 200,000 but its supposedly been rebuilt. i know u don't replace them in a rebuild. what does this mean i have to get knew ones?

what do u mean? well it does move around a little bit when idling. how much does this cost? should i do the solid lifter conversion? what are the benefits?

mine only makes noise on start up. I believe mine is the timing chain tensioner
