Timing chain rattle of death
I drive an SR swapped S13 coupe, and it's started the famous TC rattle... I removed the upper guide, and it quieted it a little, but didnt go away... I tried an extra tensioner my buddy had, and its still there... So, I believe my chain is stretched a little... My question is do you think I can try one of the revised tensioners from 95 and newer model SR's to help quite it down? they are a good 1/3" longer from what I've read and have the better teeth... I'd rather try this before yankin' it to do a whole timing chain set job!

I'm good... Been there, done that dealing with boosted KA... Dont like 'em...

Anyone? Anyone with an S13 motor that swapped out only the upgraded newer tensioner and it worked good at eliminating chain slap?
