Timing Chain Ratte - 95 240sx se

Back to the popular topice of the chain rattle. I removed the upper chain guide and noticed that the rattle was still there, but not as loud. I know that the side guide needs to come out as well, but my question is should this solve the problem once and for all?

I will check the tensioner, but when I removed the upper guide I examined the chain and it was quite tight on the the cam sprockerts, with no visable play. Thanks for your response.

Well I personally wouldn't remove the side chain guides but that's just me I know some have and have had no problems but I decided against it and dealt with what little rattle was left
