timing chain question

Hey guys,

when I removed my head to have it machined i left the timing chain sitting like this:



Now a friend told me I will need to strip the engine down to the block and re-align the chain?

Mind you he's only ever worked on domestics. Will I need to strip it right down? I don't think it has moved jumped any teeth.

no you won't have to tear the entire thing apart. you will however, have to take the front cover and oil pan off and put back your timing the way it was. You've already got most of the crap done just gotta check your timing.
