well i had timing chain rattle about 2 weeks ago. took off the valve cover and took off a broken upper timing chain guide. driving home from work tonight i just herd more timing chaing rattle. I am going to take the valve cover off tomm and see if the tensior is bad or the other timing guide is broken or what.

my question is can i still drive the car to school tomm? or should i park it and go through the hassel of getting a ride

Personally, I wouldn't drive it. The KA is an interference engine and you don't want to end up with a useless hunk of metal under the hood just for the sake of one day's convenience. Just my opinion.

yeah i didnt drive it today. came home, stared at the engine for about 10 mins while drinking a coke and cussing at the engine. then i check the oil and it was really low, filled it up and fixed the chain rattle. i guess the tensor wasnt working right becuase of the low oil pressure.

my car ust be burnin oil or leaking oil because i just changed it 2 weeks ago and it was full of oil. but im happy, just need to go buy some more oil and have plenty in reserve.
