Hey guys, I can't remember which direction the punchmark on the oil jet for the timing chain goes. I checked the s14 SR FSM and it says point up, but the Tomei engine build up guide has the oil jet pointing down. Anyone able to verify which way the punchmark is supposed to point? This is for an s13 SR btw.

I'm not entirely sure what you are referring to. Are you talking about the chain tensioner? Thats what feeds the chain oil. If so the little arrow on the outside should be pointing downwards.

the oil jet sits above the crank sprocket. it's that little cylindrical shaped thing that pokes out of the block above the crank. It's got a punchmark on it and it squirts oil on the timing chain.
