Timing Chain noise?

I have this unusual clicking noise comming from the timing chain....well at least thats what the guy said when i bought it....and its gettin really annoying. Also my clutch pedal squeaks everytime i push it in...god dam that annoying...good thing i have a system.

Anyhow, your timing chain noise isn't rare; actually, it plagues almost all ka24des. The soud you're hearing is your chain smack up against the upper chain guide/lower chain guide. Simply take the valve cover off/front sprocket cover (well, that's not soo easy), and remove the guides; the top one was omitted in 96-98 ka's, and many people have taken out the side one, no problem

If you don't feel like taking off the front sprocket cover, just take out the top one...Inspect your timing chain while you're at it; I just replaced my upper timing chain/tensioner a few weeks back...

Use some heavy grease on the actual pedal assembly, lube everything up and it'll go away

My friend drove himself mad with that same noise till I fixed it one day for him lol.

thanks everyone.....sorry i didn't search for it. i will do what you said when i go to my friends house with tools....my garage is pathetic...im lucky to have screwdrivers....lol......o and look for my other topic concerning oil around my spark plug.
