Timing chain noise. Runnin Rich.

91 nissan 240sx sr20det stock intake and turbo.

Just wanted to confirm with a couple people first. The Timing chain guide on the top side is not needed right? I have not pulled cover off to make sure thats the noise. Just wanted to confirm it. I see that the Tensioner has a slight leak. So I will be replacing that soon too.

Another question is, Are there any known problems for sr20det engines running rich? My car doesnt do it all the time, but when it does it runs like crap at normal driving, when im cruising along and press clutch in it almost dies, other times it runs perfectly fine.
