I finally found a timing chain kit for my DOHC KA and was wondering what else I need before I rip my engine apart? So far I figure that I'll need an oil filter and oil pan gasket, right? Do I need any other gaskets?

kit? with the guides and tensioners and seals? make sure you have all three seals. two oil pump/fron cover seals and one front crank seal. oil pan is rtv. need valve cover gask and plug hole gask.

my 95 has 140k on it. i just replaced the chains, tensioners and guides. it was a pain in the butt. if i had to do over i would only replace the upper tensioner. it was the only part that had signs of wear. the gaskets are the liquid in the tube. if you go to the courtesy nissan site they have a list of parts needed. two of the upper chain guides are removed and not replaced.if you just do the upper tensioner it will probably take a couple of hours. if you do the whole thing ,make sure you have the time ,a spare ride, and the nissan manual.
