I wouldnt trust anything other than OEM. I would assume those guides will eather wear out super fast or crack sooner or later, then depending on if that chain is oem or not, itll wear out rather quickly as well. I mean, the reason its so cheap is because they are cheap items. how is the seller gonna make any profit offa that.

Idk why you would need gears anwyays unless yours are really worn down. The guides, i would buy oem quality or find some use in good shape. The chain, idk, it might be able to hold up or it might not. Thats something i cant tell you. W/e you do, good luck dude.

on your timing chain kit i would not trust nobody else but the dealer!! it happened to me on my first 240 i bought a timing chaing kit from autozone and the chaink broke after replace in and driving the car for 2 weeks luckly i didnt messed up my engine but i did broke my oil pump shafter so i replaced that (from autozone again) and it broke a few weeks later! i mean for serious internal parts i will go for dealer quality or a really good well known aftermarket brand

the OEM guides ahve been updated in there desighn a bit due to problems with the original ones...like the lower left guide used to be all plastic...now its upgraded to a metal backing so when the guide wears down..the chain wont saw into the water jacket on the lower cover..thats just one example...only trust oem or (key) aftermarket brands for replacment parts.

^ That is exactly what happened to my engine.

OP check the part number on that ebay kit. Sometimes the ones they sell on ebay, for example; the transmission rebuilt kits they sell. are the same they sell in auto parts stores. So it wouldnt make any difference.

Unless you are gonna go with guanine Nissan parts. IMO you should do for a timing chain kit.

I got Ebay ones and it's plastic with metal backing. So far so good never judge unless you've tried it.But then again we all got the gut feeling so your choice all I know is that most are all the same quality maybe different though.
