What parts do I need to order to do a Timing Chain & Head Gasket change?

there are entire kits for this. Bascially a timing chain kit, and full engine gasket kit.

head gasket set, timing chain(s), tensioner(s), guide(s), sprocket(s)(optional), and fluids.you may opt to get a valve grind set instead of the head gasket set as it will include valve seals.

I saw one from courtesy stating it does not need the upper chain guide. Why is that?

revised timing chain doesn't need the upper guide.
