Hi everyone its me again. Right now im currently rebuilding a sr20det before i swap it in. But i have encountered a problem with removing the timing chain guides. Im aware the they are a 6mm hex key and they are only supposed to be torqued to 12-15lbs but i cant even get them to budge. The only thing i managed to due is begin to strip out the bolt head. Is there some kind of trick to getting them off all help is appreciated.

Heat, maybe. The heat difference in the head vs. the bolt might make them expand at differing rates, as well as softening the metal, allowing easier extraction. Or easier stripping of the bolt. Not sure which would come first. I would think the Al head would loosen before the (most likely) hardened bolt.
