its attached to the lower intake manifold. Near the back of it. Its basically the thing thats not the EGR you'll know, but you gotta pull that upper intake manifold off. i've done it without replacing gaskets, but now-a-days i just throw down the six bucks for new ones

Problem #2: the tensioner would not move when itwas on the engine, so i took it off and worked it and after a few times it seemed to move a lot morefreely. should iput it back on or look for another tensioner? once again, thanks.

i hope youre still on DJPants

sorry man, i had to run to menards to find fittings for my oil pressure gauge, so sorry this reply is so damn late

I'm all about not spending any more money on my 1000 dollar S13, or my 1400 dollar S13, so i would say try it out. This is awful advice, but i would, and have done it.

After you install it, you'll know if you installed a pile, because you're gonna hear that timing chain nailing the valve cover again, in which case you might just need a new tensioner. I think its like 40 something at autozone, which i wouldn't buy, but like almost 90 with a discount at Nissan.

if you have money, definately buy it because its awesome insurance in a world of ****ty timing chains

i recently installed a crappy one because i have like four lying around and that motor doesnt run right for whatever reason, and one of them is probably because the gears have jumped time. It ran fine for about 25 miles then another problem showed up, after i fixed that this other problem showed up so...

did you put it on or didnt you?
