before i did anything i would regret i wanted to verify the timing guides i oculd take off. i already took the top on off my ka24de but the rattle is still there. so i took the upper cover off and the timing chain is rubbing on the right guide and i have read that you can remove this one also. so is this the right one? thanksBTW waiting on a reply or two before i button her up.

Yes, you can remove the upper side guide. It should be held in by two bolts on the right side of the head under the exhaust cam gear. You should also check out your upper tensioner and see if it's working properly. If not, clean it out with WD40 or replace it (which is actually not hard to do).

If you do a search on "timing chain guide removal" you can find a thread that goes through it step by step with nice clear pictures.
