Is there a huge difference in the company that makes timing chain kits? I assumed there was, but if a company has OK stuff compared to OEM, I would like to know.

Advanced sells the S.A. kit, which doens't look horrible, but I doubt the quality of that stuff is up to par with the OEM kit. I went to the nissan dealership and they wanted $400 for only the guides/chain/tensioners/front seal and I beleive advanced wanted 80 for the chain in the back(hard to see one), 2 guides, 1 tensioner, and the front seal. I'm not sure about the other chains, because I forgot to ask.

I am assuming S.A. isn't very high quality stuff, but has anyone had any luck with this kit? Or should I look for OEM material. If OEM, where would be the easiest/cheapest place to find that without using a credit card?

i bought some oem stuff from pinnacle nissan that's pretty cheap, I know 2 or 3 more of our sponsor may also carry oem items... why not contact them?

i would only trust oem stuff for something that'll lost for 100k, that's about 8 years! what if the SA breaks down in 5?

Unless the aftermarket stuff is BETTER than oem, don't go for it.

Say, for exmaple, greddy made timing belts that's suppose to be twice as strong and extremely hard to snap, for the integra. This is kind of situation where I'd substitute aftermarket over oem.

and oem stuff is from people who DESIGNED the engine, SA.. well, I'd say it's a replica, but just how good are these replica?

hm
