My 97 Q has got 129,000mi so far. When should I replace the timing belt/chain? This car has been factory service since new but in the service record I do not see anywhere saying the timing belt/chain has been replaced. All I see is 30,000 mi, 45,000 mi, ...90,000 service performed. Does that mean it has been taking care. Talked to the previous owner of the car and she has no idea. Is there a quick/easy way to find out? I have tried the search feature already but didn't find what I was look for. Hope you guys can help! Thanks.

You have timing chains and they require no maintenance throughout the life of the car..... The enigne will wear out before the chains...
