Hey guys,

My 240 has started to make that terrible timing chain clack. Actually it's been doing it for awhile but it's gotten worse recently. Plus I just got a full exhaust system, but because of the rattle I'm afraid to rag on it. And I want to so, I'm gonna fix the clack.

But before I do it, I wanna try and compile a sort of cheat sheet on how to do it, because I have made a search and basically from what I have learned it is a major pain in the *** to do.

So to anybody who has changed their timing chain and tensioners, could you please post the hardest/trickiest part of the process(to you) and how you got around it?

Thanks alot.

It's easy, it just takes time. Make sure you seal everything up good afterwards, b/c you don't want a pain in the *** coolant leak after the fact. You might want to degrease a bunch of **** too, while you have all that **** apart.
