Hey folks!I'm helping my son replace the head and timing chains on his 92 240sx. It has the DOHC K24DE engine. I need a little help on the timing chain alignment during installation. Chiltons manual stinks for this engine and I don't want to chance bending up some valves due to the cam/valve timing being out of whack! I understand the silver mating marks on the chains and the mating marks on the crank/idler gear/cams etc. I guess I just need a picture or diagram to be sure. I'm an old V-8 Chevy guy and haven't played with a DOHC engine. It's been an experience to say the least. Just getting it apart was a challenge. Anyway, any help or tips would be greatly appreciated

240sxdad,

Check out eBay for factory service manuals. I got one a few months ago for about $60. They sell for $250 if you go to the Nissan parts department. The official Nissan service manual is very comprehensive, detailed, easy to understand and well organized. Well worth the expense.

From one 240sx dad to another...

Good luck!
