There is a pretty good write up in the FSM. It's pretty easy really... Look over the FSM and post up any questions you have... Is your motor in the car or on a stand?

Set the engine to TDC #1 before you do anything. Also now is the best time to replace your water pump, oil pump, timing belt tensioner and guide...

look in my signature for a link, go there and find the r32 manual... If you have a 33 or 34 search around and you'll find the FSM. If not just put a post and I'll upload it somewhere for you. I have a grip of FSMs...

And you're right it will be a lot easier to replace all that stuff with the motor out of the car.. Just don't get the 'might as well' syndrome or you'll NEVER get it put back in LOL... at least not in a timely manner hahaha

only thing not super clear in the FSM is that it doesnt really say how tight to set the tensioner. some just follow the picture and set it to where the allen key hole is at the bottom like the picture. too loose you slip it, too tight it makes noise, way too tight it could snap.
