Yesterday i was headed to work, saw someone on side of highway in a late 90s Durango, nice rims and all you hear are his belts going wild. I get home that night and notice mine were squeakier than ever. There already was a bit of cracking on the visible belts. Nissan quoted me $1350 cdn +tax, Then Midas, where I get alot of my work done and know the mechanics really well, $975 taxes all in.

Heres the bill...Fan Belt, poly cog belt, poly cog belt, fnp timing belt, water pump total $346

labour was 517 for a total of around $975

may have been expensive still but its much cheaper than nissan quoted and now I have piece of mind that everything is ok. I also have a 1 year 20k km warranty on everything

preventative maintenance! q has 136k kms, still had another 24k till the timing belt was reccommended to be replaced, but i figured Id do it before the winter (all belts were the ORIGINALS from new!)

before you damn americans say i got ripped, realize this is canada, everything costs more when it comes to cars. If anyone else in gta got this stuff done to a 3.3 Im curious how much other shops charged

My Nissan Master Technician friend (mechanic) charges me $40/hour...so...you'd have saved a hell of a lot of money...PM me if you want details!
