timing belt

hey guys with all this talk about timing belts my car is sitting with about 41,000 k's on it and i don think n e thing has bien done to it besides basic oil changes so i was wondering wen i should change my timing belt? thanks

Basically it should be done every 60,000 miles. But if it hasn't been done ever on a very low mile car I'd still recommend it. Also when doing the timing belt, I recommend looking into the 60K kit which includes the other belts, water pump, etc. Might as well replace it for peace of mind while you're in there.

i've done a write up of it for the J30 (VG30DE) if you are interested, and i'm going to do a (VG30DETT, i swaped the engine...... havent driven it yet) by next month, you will find it in the J30/M30 section of this forum....... i hope this helps, good luck.....
