Do I really need to remove the sparkplugs when installing my timing belt??

Honestly don't recall removing mine when I replaced my water pump, tensioner, accessory belts, front oil seals, etc. a few years ago. Replaced 'em when I pulled then plenum to replace all six injectors, both PCV valves, the EGR valve, etc. and to do the throttle body heating delete a few months later.

Not necessary, just helps you rotate the crank easier due to the lack of compression.
