Hello everyone I am a full time college student working on my mother's old 300zx. I installed the waterpump myself but I have no idea about the timing belt replacement. Just wondering if someone had any instructions or links to help me with my dilemma.(sorry 4 the YELLING)

Ka= chain Sr=chain, but vg=belt rb=belt and I believe vq=belt, so i would't say most use chain, but some do, and I think most of the older motors use chain.

go check the 300zx forums. its within the confines of Nico somewhere. the timing belt isnt TOO bad really. we did it to my friends 1990 in august. i mostly provided moral support cuz i hate fixing other peoples cars while they watch. (ironic cuz im going to school to be a grease monkey).. but iirc it wasnt horrible. just a lot of swearing and me laughing. and beer. but that probably didnt help the situation. good luck dude
