Ok, here we go. My grandfather and i replaced my timing belt on my 1990 300zx N/A. The top four camshaft sprokets were in time and lined up evenly on the belt. but the crankshaft notch was off about 1 degree to the belt.... when start the car up, it will not idle. i have to keep reving it in order for it to stay on. when it gets a little bit below 1000 RPMS the oil psi will start to fluctuate and the car will slowly die out. when reved at high RPMS i hear a little back fire. my grandpa told me that as long as the marks were lined up then thats all that matters... can someone please Help me get my car running the right way

Note your post. The marks WERE NOT lined up. 1 tooth off CAN and will make a differance.

ok thanks.. thats what i figured. and i thought that since the Oil pump is behind the crankshaft sprockets, thats why i was receiving faulty readings from the Oil PSI.. I guess its back to the drawing board tomorrow
