Does the ka24e in a 1990 nissan stanza have a timing belt or a timing chain?

Because mine just quit running all the sudden, and I was thinkin maybe it jumped time but I dont know if it a rubber belt or a chain, and when I turn the car over it kinda make a try to start but then it just cranks and cranks and then you take out the plugs and they reak of gas like its flooding itself, anyone know what it could be if it didnt jump time?
