Well I have a squealing noise coming from the timing belt cover area. I didn't think I overtightened the belt, but I could be wrong. I replaced the belt with a Greddy. It only makes the noise when I run it for more than 20-30 minutes.

Check the clearance whether it may be rubbing somewhere...Or could be over tightened like you said...Either that or could the tension or idler be making the squealing...Somebody else chime in

My HKS Belt makes a Supercharged Squal noise. I think its a Little over tight, But thats were the tensioner locked in, I have not had any issues, I have not went back to re adjust it. Its not loud when driving mostly at idle, so i have not bothered with it. I have 24 track passes with it like that and a few hundred hwy miles, No issues.

My greddy is silent, as was my stock belt, You should correct it next time you have it apart.

I would fix the noise asap. It's making a noise for a reason and telling you that there is some thing is wrong. Just don't be mad later on when some thing breaks on you. Fix it!

id def pull it apart, when the belts off heat up the idler and tentioner, prob one or the other gone bad, there only like 55 fro both might as well replace them while its apart

in all seriousness. Either the idler pulley or tensioner pulley is going bad. same belt squeal happened to me and i didn't bother with it for 2 weeks. I took it out one day for some hard driving and the bolt to the tensioner snapped in half. Which caused my valves and pistons to make contact. Ordered a new motor. It's no joke my brother. Change that bish!

I believe Media Player Classic and Windows meadia player will work if u have th codec. As long as you have a codec for 3g2 files. I tried to put it on youtube but the audio conversion is really bad.

Are you absolutely sure its your timing belt? Is it a metal on metal screech or a squeal?

I have not heard your vid, ill try it at home.

if ur hearing a metal on metal sound and youve already replaced BOTH of the t belt pulleys (idler, tentioner) then id pull the valve covers n check to se if a cam bearing lobe is shot, the part where the cam spins in the head, idk man sound weird

I thought the same thing until i had to take the cover off for something and noticed that the blue coating on the greddy belt was melted to my brand new pulleys. So i would readjust before your belt gets ate up

as far as the the squealing i would check to make sure a cover isnt rubbing somewhere espically the bottom one.

I took the belt off and wire wheeled the pulleys to get the belt material off then put back together and all seems fine. I just did this on saturday so time will tell if my belt needs replaced. I would say loosen the belt and see what the does.
