I read that the OEM timing belt is made by Mitsuboshi. I know that OEM is usually the safest bet.
That said, I saw a Dayco kit that includes the water pump, tensioner, and cam/crank seals.
That would be handy to buy everything with one click. Part # 6754-09123902
Any reason to shy away from Dayco? I think they are reputable company that has been around "forever".

I've been reading some more and it sounds like any of the major brand belts are fine.
The issue seems to be with the kits supplying inferior water pumps and tensioners.
Aisin supposed to be the better pumps/tensioners but most of the kits don't say who made theirs.
Which kit to buy? Or do I need to piece it together?

I went with Nissan parts for almost everything when I did timing belt, water pump, seals, tensioner, etc...
The only aftermarket was a couple of accessory belts. You don't save much with aftermarket but for peace of mind, go with OEM.

Well I went with the Aisin kit (OEM I believe).
Here's the list of what I've got so far. Anything else I should replace while I'm in there? Front thermostat maybe?
Timing belt, tensioner bearing and spring, water pump with gasket, timing cover gasket, 2 Camshaft Seals, 2 Crankshaft Seals, coolant bypass hose.

That looks like all of them. I'd do the thermostat too

Thanks. Will get a thermostat too. Recommended brand?
Also, the FSM says to use "sealant" on the t-stat housing. What type of sealant?
