Hi:

I have a 93 J30 with 75k miles. Purchased last year as a used car.

Is it possible that a valve can be bent during timing belt replacement? when I replaced the belt, the passenger side intake cam rotated by about 60 degree. If the valve kinda KISSED the piston, will that cause enough damage to the valve?

If your camshaft is off by 60°, I can guarantee at the minimum you bent a valve.

If you are not timed correctly on an interference engine, you will get interference. Pistons hitting valves is not good.
