While driving about 30mph belt broke. I had a new one installed and now it wont stay running . Runs really ruff and seems to be running on 3 cylds . Did any damage happen when the belt broke that would cause it to run like it is or is there some thing that was missed when the work was done. Please help ....! Ive looked for about 2 hrs on different Maxima sites and have not seen anything that talks about the belt breaking while driving and the damage that can happen. I have seen that it may be a costly fix it where to happen but there was no info as to what whould happen ... Any help would be greatly apprecitated ... also what kind of cost could I be looking at and is it worth fixing ....after all its a 1990 and prob. only worth 1500. or so (running that is) . Thanks Madmavs

you probobly bent some valves, you may need a new head or you can replace the valves, depending on how you want to do it.
