wweeeeeeerd. Alright, trying to smog this 1993 ka24de swap in my 1989 240. Having strange idle and timing problems. When car first starts, idle is around 1000, but timing is around 15 BTDCAfter about a minute, idle goes to about 1300, timing goes to 20 BTDCAfter warm up, tps disconnected, idle remains around 1300 and timing remains 20 BTDCIACV adjusting screw is all the way in. So this becomes a problem

here is the wierd part. And I have repeated this procedure several times with same results.

with tps disconnectedI pinch the air hose that is near the tps connector that comes off of the intake and goes into intake manifold area. I believe that is the right hose to check for vacuum leak???? Motor should die right? It doesn't die, it sets the idle down to about 500 rpm, and timing is off again. It will stay like this as long as I don't give it any gas. But as soon as I hit the gas it goes back to initial high idle with 20 BTDC.

tps was recently replaced and I have checked it, I think it is working correctly, but maybe not

car functions fine, but sometimes feels weak

ecu is not working properly and has constant cel but won't throw codes. I just connected the battery light to the cel on the cluster so the dash light goes off in order to smog it. I tried to smog it once and it failed beacuse timing was off and cel was on but it just barely failed the sniffer. I replaced 02 sensor and adjusted the timing and did some other stuff, so i'm hoping I can get it to pass if I get it real hot.

please help, this has been a nightmare for me for the last six months.
