I updated this thread, but more importantly I am looking for photos of ka24de timing components. specifically im interested in the intermediary gear and its markings. i need a photo of one to compare to my own.

I just redid the timing in my 92. Was having problems running the car. I talked about it here.

Also here is a vid of the timing marks on a KA24DE. There is a mark on the under side of the idler sprocket that I did not show. But once you have the Lower chain on and correct, start the upper chain using the Idler sprocket mark, then 10 links over toward the intake is the next mark, then 7 links to the exhaust, then from the exhaust it will 7 more back to the idlerr aligning all marks.
If I upload the video right

thanks for the vid, it helps alot. i dont think i have the dizzy in wrong as i have installed it about a dozen times now, but i can use that vid to compare to my own timing marks.

PS. you have installed the infamous timing chain rattle guides on your motor. they were deleted by nissan in a technical bulletin. its the two upper guides, the one on the very top and the one on the right of the upper chain, both need to be removed.

i know i put it back in there. But it also has a thick piece of rubber on it. Originally I took the one that was in there out. That one is brand new. So when it starts to tick, I'll just take it back out.
