Dropping to 0 means you have a leak somewhere, either between the head and the block, past your gauge (doubtful since it's only on 2 cylinders), through the piston (shot rings or a hole in the piston), or out one of the valves.

And for timing, you're talking about ignition timing, right?

A way to see if it's rings is to pour some oil in the spark plug hole and see if the pressure rises. If not, then it's most likely valves. A seal between the head and the block is unlikely to only cause that on 2 pistons.

Where are you trying to adjust the timing? At the CAS, correct? What is the current timing set to? Is it inaccurate or are you just trying to tinker to get it to run better?

What exactly is it doing? What have you tested? Have you checked ecu codes? GIve us more detail and we might be able to help. All a car needs to run is air, spark, fuel, timed correctly. If you have all four, it will run, might not be good, but it will run.

Check the timing belt, it kinda sounds like you jumped a tooth. Compression will still be good if the belt jumped a tooth or two, it just may take a little more time to get to the correct number.

Can you give us a little more insight what happened so maybe we can help diagnose better? It is hard to help if we are trying to pull information out of you. Just saying moved CAS and stops running doesn't really tell us much. What are you doing with moving the CAS? Have you done any work recently? Have you checked injectors, do they ohm test between 10-14? Where you just driving down the road and it stopped? Was it running rough before it stopped running?

I'd almost bet that the CAS harness is bad. Over the years the harness becomes cracked and the wires can break. Mine is on its way out, but it's hanging on. If I move it just right though, it'll die.
