whats the deal? is there some super special way the CAS has to be inserted or something? I have spark and fuel...i think the timing is bad though.

unplug the tps.. to set timing you have to use the change links... one is marked yellow i think. make it at top dead center on both cam sprockets and then insert the CAS. plug tps up and cranks. you will then have a few degrees of play on the CAS without having to pull it all the way out again. i believe that is all right.

1. Pull valve cover2. Set engine to TDC on cyl #1 (2nd mark from right on crank)3. Verify cam lobes on cyl 1 are facing away from each other. 4. Twist worm gear until the non colored dot lines up with the notch. 5. Insert into head6. Notch and colored mark should now be lined up.

You are now at 15 BTDC.

Depends on which way you look at it. When I do it I am on the front of the pulley looking over into the bay and it is the 2nd from the left.

thanks for the help. I got everything installed right, but the car hesitates on throttle. also, i build boost, but i have no power. i have to barely press the gass to build rpms...i think the timing is still off.

i made another post about this problem.

I have perfect idle...but i have to barely hit the gas for the rpms to go up. and then i build crazy boost and the rpms don't really rise. It will studder...below 3000. once i get past 3000 rpms it starts acting a little better, but still no power....and still builds boost.

i can build 10lbs of boost with no load at around 2 or 3 thousand rpms.

it was cam timing. I reset it today for the third time and it went away. Now i just make no power. Boost builds fine but i have no power from a dead stop.

And my alternator isn't charging my battery very well. It's actually at about 12 volts while the car is running...should be somewhere over 14.
