I adjusted my timing the first time sincemy sr swapS13 red top manualThe car was running fine before i did the tune upReplace plugs filters and clean TB

After changing and tune upI checked the timing and it was at 5deg but still ran fine.SO i searched for the loop for the timing signal found two loopsi used the one that gave me the right RPM ( I have a digital timing light that tells me the RPM). I loosened the two bolts for the CAS on the right side (driver side) of the engine to turn the CAS.I remove the connector for the TPS and began turning the CASI turned it clockwise

Its now max clockwise position and the timing mark is between the 2nd and 3rd hatch mark = 12 deg ( i think). I cant turn it anymore to get 15 deg

CAN anyone think of another reason why i cant get 15 deg.Its a timing chain and i assume its factory chain - so why is it off ??

Any suggestions greatly welcomed

What I would do is reset my timming by taking out the cas and removing the valve cover. Have the silver link on the chain match up with the little dot on the cam-sprocket and the main pulley at Top Dead Center. Turn the shaft of the CAS until the orange dot is at about 11:00 or something, then insert the CAS. The orange dot has to be 12:00 or pointing straight up as the shaft will turn slightly when you insert. Then try your timming again and you should get to 15+ no prob. But if you already knew that... nevermind.
