if you are doing your timing belt I'd recommend replacing the water pump as well. remove your trans cooler lines and drain the radiator. remove the radiator fan and fan shroud and belts. remove the top cover for the belt so you can check for number one top dead center. your crank pulley should line up with the notch on the front cover and the cams will line up on the back cover.. youll probably need a puller to get the crank pulley off.. if not youll spend a couple hours fighting with it.. it has two holes threaded for installing a puller. i always clean the threads with a tap because of rust buildup.. i believe 6x100 is the tap..once that is off remove the lower cover.. make sure the bottom 8mm bolt goes back in that same spot.. loosen the tensioner on the belt with a 14mm wrench and remove the belt.. remove the bolts from the water pump and clean up the gasket area.. then your ready to go back together.. when tightening the t-belt dont overtighten.. turn the tensioner til you take out all the slack then let it relax and tighten the tensioner bolt .. everything else is pretty much install in reverse order.. enjoy.. might sound like alot but its not that bad.
