I NEED another detailing. Weather not cooperating.

Detailing question- what is the best for the "dull" look that the doorpanels get? I have tan door panels, and the vinyl gest a dull look in the grain that I cannot scrub out. A while back someone told me abotu some product that was great for that, but I do not know what it is.

Any ideas?

Somewhat decent pics. My car is 10 years old, but she still shines like new. Haven't taken any new pics within the past couple months, but I guess this is motivation to do so.

Cullen, did you put the 97-up grille on your 95? How much and any fitment issues?

I will be doing a write-up for this soon, along with other minor mod write-ups.

To answer your questions...Yes, I did it myself. I believe I paid around 32 dollars shipped for the 97-99 grille. I bought just the grille because I wanted to keep the 95-96 bumper with the 97-99 grille, but if you want to do a complete conversion it is relatively cheap. There are not many big fitment issues really with matching it to the 95-96 bumper. The "stems" of the grille are about 1/4" to 3/8" too long, so they have to be trimmed down. I say 1/4-3/8 because if you want to make it fit correctly you cannot just draw a line and take an even 1/4" or 3/8" off of the stems, it is progressive. Sorry if I am confusing you. Basically you have to make a slanted line on the stems and then let the dremel work it's magic;)

If I remember correctly, the middle piece that clips in to the grille support will not actually "clip" into the grille support on the 95-96 bumper. You have to rig it up. Just e-mail me if you are going to do this. I'll just give you a call, it is much easier to tell you over the phone than on the forum. I had mine painted, but you could leave it black and be supa JDM :oface

Used the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser on my 7-year-old tan door panels and even my clean-freak wife thought that they looked great. Of course, she stole of of the CEs and used them all over the house...

That worked well for scuffs on sufaces like the door sills?

There you go Scott. You should give it a try. I guess I'm lucky with black interior and all. I'll still try it out in a couple of spots though.

Worked like a charm on all of the plastic and vinyl. My door sills and door panels look brand new.

I followed the instructions to a "t." Someone suggested "filleting" the CE before you use it to double the surface area, and that worked well for me.

I even ribbed really lightly on a spot of paint that some idiot had left on my bumper when they failed to estimate the actual size of their car and it came off with no effort.

Awesome...I've been looking for something like that. Beige interior shows every spot of dirt.
