Hello fellow Z lovers, I've signed up to NICO some 3 years ago and got my Z 5 yrs ago but never made a post. Just kept reading and reading and reading. Mostly spent my time working on maintenance for the Z before doing any major upgrades.

Today while I was under the Z I noticed that the tie rods and lower ball joints were torn, so I'm changing them soon.

The question I have though is, do our Z's have upper ball joints? or just lower ones?
Also fount out that my Z is missing the tunnel brace and wanted to know if having one would make a difference.

our cars have a upper control arm that connects to the top of the spindle and and a ball joint connected to the bottom, they also have a tension rod to the front as well. and when you say tunnel brace. are you talking about the brace that holds in the transmission, or a brace that is essentially a body brace like a strut tower brace?

Ok thanks, just wanted to be sure about the Z just having lower ball joints.
Yup already bought some adjustable tension rods and plan to get the upper control arms later next month.

Welcome!
Get the brace for sure, and hopefully you were able to take advantage of the latest Powertrix deals for your tension rods and upcoming FUCAs?
Powertrix' FUCA is the best out there and I am VERY happy with mine, HIGHLY recommended.

Thanks
Wish I could say I did but didn't have the funds to do so.
I was unsure about which FUCA's to get so I'm saving for some decent ones, but definitely planning on getting the Powertrix SS coilovers later on.

Just keep an eye on the Powertrix ads here, all year I've seen sets of coilovers at old gb pricing so truly you may still have the chance to get a great deal when you DO have the funds.
Get the Powertrix FUCA's, they are overall the best but the Z1 units don't seem too bad and have a fairly similar fastening method, which is the most important factor for our suspension. DO NOT get any other FUCA product or you WILL be replacing it sooner than later, and also maybe (probably) some tires.
